Is pet first aid training a requirement to sit on Pet Lodger?+
It isn't mandatory, but it's one of the strongest signals of a professional sitter. Completing a recognised course helps you stand out to owners, gives you confidence in an emergency, and we can highlight it on your profile.
Is the course online or in person?+
Both options exist. Many providers offer fully online, video-led courses you can complete at home at your own pace, as well as practical classroom days. Choose whichever suits your learning style.
How long does it take?+
Most online pet first aid courses take 2–4 hours to complete and can be paused and resumed. Practical classroom courses are usually a single half or full day.
Will I get a certificate?+
Yes. On successful completion you'll receive a recognised certificate of completion, often valid for three years, which you can add to your sitter profile.
